Leadership supports the development of shared leadership for coexistence and democracy in the Jewish and Arab sectors. Target populations include civil society, the public and private sector, and educational leadership. Activities also focus on promoting Jewish-Arab cooperation in a shared social issue area where collaboration can make important gains on the ground, and, at the same time, strengthen Jewish-Arab relations.

Joint Efforts to Resolve Environmental Hazards in Arab Communities |

This program, operated in collaboration with Adam Teva V'Din – Israel Union for Environmental Defense and The Arab Center for Alternative Planning, will review and map environmental hazards in Arab communities. These hazards caused by industrial plants, local agriculture, and lack of proper infrastructure such as sewage and garbage, severely affect the quality of living in Arab communities. Civil servants shape the quality of life for Israeli Arabs every day as they implement policy, make budgetary decisions and perform their duties. Simple, seemingly perfunctory decisions can have serious consequences for the Arab minority. By educating government employees and administrators about the conditions and realities of the Arab sector, and working with them on an on going basis to help shape and inform decisions, a tangible difference is being made on the ground. .
